A short drive North of Myrtle Beach along U.S. 17 lies the quaint fishing village of Little River (population: 7,000), which offers charter boats, seafood restaurants, watersports, specialty shops and even Las Vegas-style casino gambling boats. Nestled among live oak trees, Little River provides a quiet reprieve at the Northern end of the bustling Grand Strand. Little River hosts the award-winning Blue Crab Festival in May.
